Fairy Tale Election Results

It was a close race but the Big Bad Wolf pulled through to win the Fairy Tale Election. Some say it was the promise of stronger houses, but others think it was all about personality politics!

There was a strong voter turnout and electoral officers were kept very busy sorting and counting votes. It was a big job but by around 2pm they had a result!

As the new primeminister of Far Far Away, the Big Bad Wolf will have to work hard to make all the fairy tale characters happy. Some say he will never make friends with the 3rd little pig who lives in a brick house and feels that his house is strong enough already.

The Final Results:

1st The Big Bad Wolf (152 votes)

2nd Rapunzel (129 votes)

3rd The Woodcutter (68 votes)

4th Little Red Riding Hood (56 votes)

Room 9's Fairy Tale Elections

On Friday the 25th of November Room 9 will be running the Fairy Tale Elections. We have four very promising candidates from the land of Far Far Away and voting will be open to anyone under the age of 18. Candidate statements, posters and voting papers will be coming out in the next two weeks!

For those of you who are over 18 and so are not able to vote in the Fairy Tale Elections, we recommend you try the New Zealand General Election which is for people over 18 years and will take place the next day. We can't promise the candidates will be quite as exciting, but we hear that you might get a sticker if you vote!
